Landscape Maintenance Without the Work – Take back your weekends!
RYCO offers three lawn maintenance contract levels or you can create a customized lawn care program to best fit your needs. Landscape maintenance services include:
Spring Clean Up
Spring Clean Up services are performed during the months of March and April. Leaves and debris in planting beds that have accumulated over the winter are removed. Planting beds are weeded. Perennials and grasses that were not cut down in the fall are cut back. Any excess debris on lawn areas is removed. All hard surfaces adjacent to work areas are swept and/or blown clean upon completion.
Lawn Mowing
Turf is mowed as needed from mid-April through October and maintained at a height of 2.5” – 3” as the turf requires during the growing season. Posts and fences are line-trimmed to ensure a consistent turf height. Turf areas and planting beds are policed for debris during each mowing. The grass clippings are blown off hard surfaces onto turf areas after each mowing.
Ornamental Tree and Shrub Trimming
Deciduous and ornamental trees below 15 feet and deciduous and evergreen shrubs below 6 feet are trimmed and maintained to enhance the natural beauty of the plants. Groundcover and perennial areas are trimmed as required. This trimming is only a shaping of the plant material and controlling of out growth, not hard pruning of branches. Debris is removed and hauled away upon completion of each seasonal trimming.
Maintenance of Flowerbeds and Perennials
Flowerbeds and tree rings are cultivated to give a groomed appearance. Beds and tree rings are edged with a steel blade, and bed areas are checked weekly and hand-weeded as needed to maintain a neat appearance.
Flower heads are pinched and dead heads removed throughout the growing season. A pre-emergent weed control is applied in spring to reduce weed seed germination in mulched beds. Additional fresh mulch may be installed on request.
Mulch Delivery or Installation
Mulch retains moisture in the soil so you need to water less and it helps prevent germination of weed seeds reducing the need for weed killers. It keeps the soil warm in winter and cool in summer and gives your planting beds a clean, finished look.
Fall Clean Up
Fall Clean Up services are available during the months of November and December. Fallen leaves and branches are removed from planting beds and turf areas. Annual flowers are removed and hauled away. Perennials are cut back and all mum plants are either cut down or removed.
All leaves and debris are removed and hauled away or placed in natural wooded areas, if permissible. Hard surfaces are swept and/or blown clean upon completion. For late falling leaves, such as large oak trees, additional clean ups are available upon request.
Field Mowing
Vacant lot field mowing usually occurs April through October. We offer services from one-time only to bi-weekly, monthly or three times a season. A flail mower is used to give a nice finish cut.
