Core Aeration
One of the best-kept secrets to lush and healthy grass is as simple as aerating your lawn – a process of punching holes into your lawn to allow water, oxygen, fertilizers and nutrients to penetrate the soil and better reach the roots of your grass, usually done by pushing hollow cylinders into the ground and forcing out plugs of soil to the surface. Core aeration also decreases the level of water run-off by 30% – 50%. This service is completed in spring and/or fall.

Grub Proofing of Lawns
A one-time granular application to prevent grubs from damaging your lawn. Grubs can ruin an untreated lawn within 2-4 weeks. This treatment is applied during the months of June and July.

Best Practices for Healthy, Beautiful Lawns

Lawn Mowing
During the mid-April through October growing season, your turf should be mowed as needed to maintain a height of 2.5” – 3” for healthy growth. No more than 1/4 to 1/3 of the turf height should be removed in a single mowing. Clippings don’t need to be removed, as long as as they are well-distributed.

Field Mowing
Vacant lot field mowing usually occurs April through October. We offer services from one-time only to bi-weekly, monthly or three times a season. A flail mower is used to give a nice finish cut.
